Today we have one of our Honda K-Series 6-Speed Inline Sequential Gearbox Packages ready to head off to one of our dealers in Australia. Our K-Series package is an all-encompassing gearbox solution including our proprietary direct-fit bellhousing and adaptor plate, direct-fit input shaft complete with bronze spigot bush, concentric slave cylinder assembly including range of shims and pre-installed gear position sensor. Based on the Quaife Engineering QBE69G Extra Heavy Duty Gearbox this package is capable of standing up to even the most demanding applications. The 90mm shaft centres of the 69G provide huge power handling capabilities while still maintaining compact dimensions. Some technical highlights include an integrated oil pump and a modular gear cluster, while a drum type sequential gear change system is allied to an open face dog design on both gear and drive disc, producing a fast, positive gearshift. Today we need to send a huge congratulations to Big Man Ting Performance for a massive achievement this past weekend at Santapod Raceway! Last year this Turbocharged K-Swapped Civc recorded an astonishing 8.69 @ 170mph, not only a new PB but enough to make this the fastest K-Series in Europe! While we knew with a bit more time for refinement this monster had even more to give, even we were surprised to find out he had managed to shave another four tenths with this savage 8.29 @ 178mph! We really can't emphasise enough just how big an achievement it is to make a FWD car go that fast, just check out the in-car footage and try to wrap your head around how quickly this FWD Civic can go from 0-178mph!
