Pre-Orders for our 100% US-made Pattern 83 Chest Rig close tonight at 23:59 Pacific 🔔 One thing you'll notice right away is the magazine ejector strap in each central pouch. We brought these back from early transitional models of the P83 chest rig, back when the SADF was moving from the FN FAL (R1) to the Galil (R4) in the early 80s. For a modern user, the strap has the happy benefit of making our rig cross compatibility with almost every magazine-fed infantry rifle on the planet. Everything equal or shorter to a 30 round STANAG gets a boost from the strap to clear the pouches, while longer magazines (like AK mags) protrude above the cell and can be removed without assistance. The straps are fast and fluid when in use, and entirely optional. (We're designing ours to be user-removable.)
