This is a half cylindrical tea bowl with a slightly widened mouth. It has a slightly elevated base, which is rare for Shokeizan-ware tea bowls. The rough clay is mixed with small quartz stones. It makes a good touch to the hand, and the wheeled surface stabilizes the palm. It is covered with a Kimachi glaze underneath and an ash glaze on top, and has been fired many times over, indicating that it was the work of the late Umeo Yamamoto when he was quite young. I believe that the deep black flavor of this bowl will come to life when used outside of the summer season when serving solid tea cakes. やや口広がりになっている半筒茶碗で、松渓山焼の茶碗にはめずらしく少し高台が高めのつくりになっています。 無骨な荒土は小さな珪石が混ざり、触りの具合がよく、胴にあるろくろ目が掌を安定させます。 来待釉を下に、上には土灰釉をかけ、何度も何度も焼成をされており、故・山本梅雄氏の随分と若い頃の仕事であることがわかっています。 夏以外の季節、しっかりとしたお茶菓子をいただく際にお使いいただくと、とてもこの黒の深いあじわいが活きてくるのではないかと思います。 抹茶碗 来待土灰釉 半筒 松渓山窯 石見焼 温泉津焼 落款印：松渓山焼 φ12.8 x H8.8 Photo by @writz #温泉津 #世界遺産 #石見銀山 #古民家 #yunotsu #japan #worldheritage #iwamisilvermi
