Modern and original design with a classic Scandinavian quality.
Women working together brings unity and encouragement. For our third day of celebrating International Women's Day, our attention turns to Scandinavian Surface. The design company is run by the designers Åsne Midtgarden, Ann-Tove Engenes and Kristine Dybwad. For 14 years, the company has designed wallpapers for private homes and the hospitality industry.
Their design office is located on the rural island of Radøy, Norway. An isolated island full of inspiration from stone hills, pine trees, and a view over the North Sea. The design group always seek to capture the Norweigan freshness for their designs, using different shapes and colors.
Let your imagination soar in your kid's room through Maisons design.
With International Women's Day in our minds, creativity, and strength flow through so many women, and Kim Frankental is one of them. She is the founder and creative director of Maison. The South African mother of two always envisioned a design studio that created whimsical wallcoverings designed for children.
She is known to collaborate with other female artists and illustrators who bring her vision to life. Her collections are greatly inspired by the natural world, whether it be a flower in bloom or a landscape fit for imaginative daydreaming.

Today our focus will be on Stina Wirsén. She is a well-known Swedish illustrator who has loved to compose stories and drawings for as long as she can remember. Her repertoire ranges from the daily press, books, public art, and children's book.
